Search Engine Placement

First, they have to find you. Undoubtedly you already appreciate the importance of ranking well in the popular search engines. The best site in the world will not deliver results if it is not easily found and some eighty percent of sites are initially found through search engines, not, as we are tempted to think, through people remembering catchy domain names. Search engines, particularly the clear current leader Google, devote vast resources to the constant refinement of their ability to rank websites accurately.

Like it or not, the simple fact is that the lions share of first time hits go to those sites who manage to stay on the first page of Google. Anywhere on that first page is the critical factor, page two is still useful, page three? - the surfers are thinning out at this point.

Getting those initial hits is terrific, but has little bearing on how many customers or loyal fans you get to keep.

This is the great lie about hit rates - hit rates are most definitely not "everything", unless hit rates for you is an end in itself. There are some well known classes of sites out there that get HUGE hit rates but do almost no business - and there are some million dollar sites out there which rank poorly in the search engines.

You need results that keep your site up there in the face of constantly climbing opposition from competing sites. Our "Cork" technology is not an addon extra no a bunch of short lived tricks, it is entirely an integral part of the total package.

If your site does not demonstrate a virtually constant upwards spiral towards the top against a tide of increasing numbers of webpages being generated every day then you need cork technology to prevent your site drowning in a sea of improving opposition. Your online sales chart will largely mimic your search engine rankings progress, all other things being equal - we cannot over emphasise the importance of search engine rankings, which can be taken to read "Google" rankings for all intents and purposes at this point in time though even that is changing as other industry leaders catch up.
